My Family has been in the apple business for more than 100 years, my grandfather Stuart Nichols bought his farm in 1930 and started grafting the apple trees to the new varieties at that time and in 1952 after graduating from Nova Scotia Agriculture College my Dad Vaughn Nichols came home to farm too.
My Brother Douglas Nichols now owns my grandfather’s farm & my brother Craig Nichols owns my Dad’s farm.
My (Marla) favourite new variety is an Ambrosia and my favourite old variety is a cox orange.
Danny’s favourite is a tree ripen McIntosh.
